Meet Kandace
25 years of helping people find their strength.
I'm a certified Stott Pilates instructor, ACSM Cancer Exercise Specialist, and NASM-certified personal trainer. My approach is rooted in the classical method — and I'm here to meet you exactly where you are.
Every session is built around five foundational principles: breath, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular stabilization, and cervical alignment. These aren't just technique — they're the gateway to everything else.
You’re Seen, Supported and Celebrated.
My StoryFrom a young age, I found solace in movement. Growing up, I engaged in various forms of exercise, but it was Pilates that truly resonated with me. The combination of strength, flexibility and mindfulness captivated my spirit.
However, my journey took an unexpected turn in 2011 when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Since 2016, I have had six more bouts with metastatic breast cancer. During treatment protocols, I discovered that Pilates was not just a physical practice; it became a lifeline. The gentle movements helped alleviate my pain, increased my energy levels and provided a sense of control in tumultuous times. It was through these experiences that I realized the profound impact Pilates can have on both the body and mind, especially during life's toughest battles.
Through my discipline, determination and drive, I pursued my certification as a Pilates instructor. Each class I taught became a space for healing - not just for me, but for my clients as well. My passion grew deeper as I witnessed individuals reclaim their strength and confidence, many of whom were also navigating their own health challenges.
Through Pilates, I have found a way to turn my struggles into strength and passion; I hope to inspire others to do the same. Each day is a testament to resilience! I am committed to thriving -as we align ourselves - one breath, one movement at a time. This journey showcases not only the challenges faced, but also the strength found in community and movement. It is a reminder that even in the midst of adversity, we can find our purpose and inspire others.
Today, as I continue to manage my disease with grace and strength, my role as an instructor has transformed into a mission. I strive to create a supportive community where movement is celebrated and healing is prioritized. My classes are infused with the understanding that each individual's journey is unique as I aim to empower others to connect with their bodies!
